2015 HAND Mission Focus on Tungod Elementary School

Tungod Elementary School

During the 2015 mission in May, HAND volunteers provided medical service to more than 1000 patients, which included pediatric care, adult cases, and minor surgeries (lump excision, incisions, drainage of abcesses, etc). HAND also visited Tungod Elementary School in Barangay Tungod, Inabanga in the province of Bohol. The school experiences flooding as after effect of super typhoon Haiyan. The children attend class with their tables and chairs submerged in water. HAND provided financial assistance in repairs for the school to help alleviate flooding in the school compound and within classrooms.
